About The Artwork
I had a friend when I was a child living outside Philadelphia and we’d talk about what we wanted to be when we grew up. Naturally, we decided on vampires since we would be immortal. Childhood fantasies rarely work out. Acrylic on paper was a quick way to render this in a gestural fashion with a paint spreader rather than a brush. The outlines of the city buildings were done with the other end of a narrow paint brush in a sgraffito fashion
