What we are Painting

Biography: Matteo Gioia was born in 1997 in Florence, where he studied graphic arts at the Art School of Porta Romana. He currently studies painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Florence. He exhibits permanently at the Fonderia Gallery, Florence. In May 2018 he organized the first edition of the collective exhibition gArthering at Villa Le Rondini, Florence. In 2018 he collaborates with Back Store Firenze for the creation of a limited series of artist shoes. In August and September 2018 participates, bringing a pictorial work of 300x300cm, to the multidisciplinary event the "Cotto s'illumina" sponsored by the Tuscany Region. Most of his production is in private collections in Italy and in Austria, after the interest aroused by exposure at the crypt of the Basilica of San Lorenzo.
