From the "Writing on Canvas Series". Most recently, Mottin has started to introduce elegant, yet abstract forms of writing, producing a unique and idiosyncratic form of calligraphy -- again created without touching the canvas -- into the context of movement. The immediate strength of her technique, in combination with physicality and the energy of raw emotion, has often drawn comparisons to Jackson Pollack's work, notwithstanding its intimate and genuine decorative appeal.
