In Context
Where The Earth Meets The Stars was inspired by the amazing awakening that occurs in spring and summer. As the deadening cold of winter fades away, the sudden growth of the trees captures that feeling that new life is all around you. Flowering trees and sunsets are bursting with color.

It’s such a complete change from winter, because during the colder months, people tend to look more inward. But when spring finally comes, we get a chance to look outward, let go of the past, and embrace growth.

To me, this painting symbolizes releasing the negativity of the past, and celebrating the unlimited possibilities of the future.

This original oil painting was created using only the highest quality professional grade oil paint and natural non-toxic solvent to produce an archival work of art. The 1.5 inch gallery wrapped edges are painted so that no framing is needed. It is ready to hang.

“For me, abstract art can have a powerful organic and spiritual presence.” The art of Cynthia Ligeros incorporates impressionist elements that reveal an inner landscape to the viewer, an image at once familiar and transcendent. She seeks to explore our place in a world that we have created, yet one which also creates us. Her paintings often begin with a single driving emotion. From that, an image develops, inspired by the colors, cycles and feelings of the environment. Sunsets, moonscapes, flowers, the changing seasons — all of these are sources of inspiration, adding richness and layers of complexity to her paintings. Even industrial spaces and structures figure prominently in her work, contrasting the artifice of the cityscape against the limitless beauty of the sky. As she paints, she redefines the spaces around us and how they connect to our lives. Her artwork was recently acquired by Colorado Creative Industries for the newly remodeled Ketchum Arts and Sciences Building at CU Boulder. Her art has appeared at the Denver Mayor’s Residence, Denver International Airport, the Madden Museum, Denver Botanic Gardens, Professional Artist Magazine, FOX News, and galleries from San Francisco to New York City.
