About The Artwork

This piece is an Original abstract artwork inspired by the multiple landscapes of Australia. The combination of the orange & natural red colour represent the traditional colour of the Australian outback which contrasts beautifully against the blue/turquoise colour representing the beautiful ocean and beaches in Australia that the world loves. This artwork is created using a combination of textured paste and acrylic paint. The ocean layer is made using multiple layers of resin . This artwork is a very textured piece on one side which contrasts against the smooth glass finish on the other side. We have looked to create a slight 3D effect in the ocean to highlight the constant moving of the ocean in contrast to the stillness of the land. The artwork will showcase different looks depending on the lighting of the room it is hung in. The darker the room the darker the ocean will look, the brighter the room the lighter the ocean will look. It is made on a quality heavy duty canvas

Eva Johnova is a Slovakian born abstract artist residing in Sydney. Eva has always had an artistic side which she initially expressed through her work as a make-up artist in Europe. Since living in Australia she has branched out into the world of contemporary abstract art and design. Nature is Eva’s greatest inspiration – especially the rich colours and textures from her childhood in Slovakia and the various beaches around Australia. Her earliest pieces involved working with found objects such as old furniture, books, newspapers to create environmentally sensitive works of art. She then took inspiration from the ethereal beauty of feathers. She has been using the natural material and also delicate hand crafted paper feathers, during her latest design phase. Inspired by the many beaches around Australia Eva has been inspired to create resin artworks that mimic the beautiful waves crashing on the sandy beaches.
