Which side I don’t care Painting

This painting belongs to my Serie „Which side I don’t care/Standing on a scale“. It is more abstract than the other paintings from my Serie. The story behind is about having two cultures growing up, but never belonged to any of it. It’s a strange middle thing, which many people who are the 2nd generation of migrants know it. I worked in a Japanese restaurant before, where we had to wear Japanese traditional clothes (kimono/Yukata). My colleagues who were all mixed generation of immigrants too and I chose to wear with modern shoes. This image of us, with different shoes identifies us in a way. It’s a mixture of our parallels, traditional and modern. In little things you can find their true form, that’s what I find beautiful.
