About The Artwork

This image was part of the 'Which Way's Up?' exhibition of 2012. The period that created these collection of images was very much a large discovery of abstract expressionism within myself. Viewers of the exhibition saw many different things within each painting and had various emotional responses to the work, which pleased me greatly as I wished to keep them open to interpretation. To maintain this I haven't given the images specific descriptive names. The medium I used was watercolour pencil followed by water and brush on high quality watercolour paper, which gave me the control of the luminous colours I desired.

Hi I'm David Kemp, I'm new to Saatchiart in 2017. I'm also known by the name, 'The Stranded Traveller', which I use for my music/song writing. I'm based in the UK and I returned to creating art after life led me down a very different path for a while. I've found that abstract seems to be my main thing, however I'm currently delving into impressionism so should have some images to show from that soon. I like to go with how I feel with regards to creativity.
