About The Artwork
This painting was inspired by the great Picasso. After visiting the Museo de Picasso in Malaga whilst on a trip in Spain, I was awe struck by the marks and painterly strokes I viewed in his paintings and his connection with the circus and the vibrant colours. I arrived home from holiday and immediately needed to paint something...anything that documented what I had witnessed that day. The resulting painting is a mix of the colours I saw in Picasso's paintings that day and the emotions I felt at the time.
