Wild wild horses, couldn't drag me away... It evokes a certain Rolling Stones song, if you are so inclined. This piece is about so many things: freedom, camaraderie, purity, power, the majestic spirit of horses, diversity, beauty in all forms, motion, energy and so many more enigmatic things…but you will have to discern that for yourself. See the solid muscles of the horses, the velocity of their wild stride, their phenomenal teamwork, yet complete and absolute individuality. They are as free as they come, beholden to nothing or no one. The roam where the wind whispers in their ears, their lives a never-ending, poetic adventure. “Here's to the crazy ones, the misfits, the rebels, the troublemakers, the round pegs in the square holes…the ones who see things differently – they're not fond of rules…You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them, but the only thing you can't do is ignore them because they change things…they push the human race forward, and while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius, because the ones who are crazy enough to think that they can change the world, are the ones who do.” –Steve Jobs

Daniel was born in Montréal. As a child, he began sketching nature and architecture with great passion and precision to understand and appreciate their essence and even to magnify their beauty. He still takes daily walks or bicycle rides in the city to stay close to the scenes which inspire him. He continues to fervently capture the essence, spirit and energy of all his subjects: animals, pop icons, portraits, motorcycles, cityscapes or landscapes in the hyper realism genre that is his hallmark. Daniel has no formal training in the Arts and like all great masters…he is completely self-taught. Deeply influenced by the Renaissance masters, as well as contemporary artists alike, Daniel has learned diligently and honed his tremendous technique through experimentation, study and determined practice. Those familiar with him and his work have offered generous support and advice which he is most grateful for which has used judiciously. Daniel's goal is to capture the veritable reality and underlining truth of his subjects. Daniel's ultimate prize is to see the effect of the object reflected in the viewers of his masterpieces.
