Impressionistic oil painting of Zebras and Wildebeest crossing a river during the great migration is a stunning and captivating artwork that perfectly captures the energy and chaos of this epic wildlife event. In the painting, one can see a mad dash of animals crossing the river through a cloud of dust that comes down an embarkment. The dust adds an element of mystery and excitement to the scene, as it creates a feeling of movement and motion. The animals are depicted in a variety of poses, with some already in the water swimming across, and others in mid-air, leaping across the river. The colors used in the painting are mostly earth tones, which create a sense of naturalness and grounding in the artwork. The earthy hues also give the impression of the dusty terrain and the dry savannah landscape. However, the artist has contrasted these earth tones with a crisp light blue-grey, which represents the water of the river. The juxtaposition of these colors creates a dynamic tension in the artwork and enhances the sense of movement and action.

As an atmospheric sea, sky, and landscape artist, my work has always been focused on capturing the mood and memory of a particular moment in time. Whether it is the soft colors of a sunrise, the shifting shadows of a mountain range, or the fluidity of the sea, my paintings seek to evoke the emotions and sensations that come with experiencing the natural world. While I primarily work in oil paint, I also love the fluidity of ink and watercolor, which allows me to experiment with different techniques and textures. Recently, I have been inspired to expand my style to include wildlife themes, using neutral soft color tones and impasto marks to create a sense of depth and texture. My goal is to create a visual narrative that captures the beauty and fragility of nature, while also highlighting the interconnectedness of all living things. Through my paintings, I aim to convey a sense of tranquility and peace, inviting the viewer to immerse themselves in the natural world and connect with their own memories and experiences. I use impasto marks to create a tactile and textured surface, allowing the viewer to feel the movement and energy of the wildlife in my paintings. By incorporating wildlife themes into my landscapes, I hope to create a dialogue between the viewer and the artwork, raising awareness of the need to protect and preserve our planet's biodiversity. In my work, I am drawn to the soft, neutral tones of nature, which create a sense of timelessness that underscores the importance of conservation for future generations. By capturing the beauty and complexity of the natural world, I hope to inspire others to appreciate and protect it. Ultimately, my art is a reflection of my own deep love and respect for the natural world. Through my paintings, I hope to inspire others to see the beauty and magic of the world around us, and to take action to protect it for generations to come. “in times when one can produce no great effect in the outer world, one should seek to shape the expression of one’s being in small ways” I ‘Ching 9, the image
