About The Artwork
This piece is inspired by the mountains that surrounded the town I grew up in. In the winter there would be vast areas of snow with the mountains peeking through. This work tries to represent the mountainous landscape with the vast fields surrounding it. It shows the complexities that appear in nature, even at the bleakest time of year. I chose to use alcohol ink so that I could effectively show the fluidity of the landscape. The texture of the plaster helps to give the piece depth and tactility. Hanging hardware is included with this piece and the best quality materials were used in its production.
