Wind of the night city Painting

I was born in Ukraine, the city of Kherson. I currently live in Ghent, Belgium. I fled from the war. I received artistic education as a book illustrator. In the process of creative activity I specialized on: book illustration, computer design and painting. Oil-painting on canvas turned to be the most ideal form of self-expression for me. In the ability of the hand, I rely on a realistic classical school, combining realism with unexpected formula. I borrow the motives for my pictures from everyday life. Sometimes, photography helps me, but I never blindly follow it. I start working only after having analyzed my emotional feelings and inner emotions. It happens that I can paint a picture very quickly in one or two sessions, but more often it is created during many months, until the work "sounds". I live in the south of Ukraine, and it is reflected in the warm, sunny color and narrative approach of the pictures. In painting, I’m fascinated by the creative process, the creation of my own world on the canvas. The theme of my painting is the world of a person, his or her soul and consciousness. The basic conceptual idea is to find a deep philosophical meaning in the existential essence of people. I work in the styles of: realism, expressionism, symbolism - everything depends on the idea of the picture. Genres: figurative, portrait, landscape. My paintings are an attempt to make our imperfect world a little kinder. I believe that the future of art is in its spirituality, and it should not be determined by ideology. In my country, I am known as an established artist, I am a member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine. I am a participant of numerous exhibitions, both collective and personal. My works are in private collections of Ukraine, France and Germany. They are in the collection of the Art Museum, Kherson city, Ukraine.
