About The Artwork
One day we went up a mountain close to our house and I left my glasses at home, it was still beautiful but my eyes really suffered, all of a sudden I started seeing everything differently, everything was brighter, more colourful and mostly, more distorted from reality. For a moment I thought I was about to faint, I didn't. Instead, I got back home and started this piece. Bright, surreal colours and lots and lots of light.

I’m an abstract landscape painter based in Bologna, Italy. Nature is what influences me most, I grew up in South Africa, among beautiful colourful sunsets, tempestuous skies and majestic oceans. I’ve been in Italy since 2009 and here, too, I am constantly amazed at God’s creation, skies being my primary inspiration. I love walking in nature, I hardly take photographs, I love to soak in the colours and atmosphere and as soon as I get home I paint my feelings onto the canvas or paper. This leads to the intuitive style that distinguishes my work, I’m happy to have you here 🙂
