About The Artwork
The painting is part of my artistic collection which has as its main subject the woman, often naked, represented in many different shades. In this painting I have decided to represent the face of a young girl who expresses, through her penetrating eyes, her will to understand and be understood, her will to appear but at the same time to remain static hiding behind her hat with the veil. I imagined and later painted her curly hair as a symbol of her being enigmatic about her. I hope that the viewer will be involved and admired by the atmosphere that the woman represented has created around her: an atmosphere full of beauty, uncertainty and grace.

I am a painter and chalcographer, and I was the holder of the Chair of Design and History of Art at Magistral Institutes and Scientific High Schools.
