About The Artwork
There are innumerable depictions of Venus in the history of art and its creation. Inspired by the work “Le Crepuscule” by William Adolphe Bouguereau, I decided to make an independent representation of Venus. Based on the charcoal drawing, I have extremely reduced the colors. Nevertheless, due to the complementary contrast, the color worlds of the skin and those of the rest of the painting appear strong and memorable. The figure itself is at rest, floating in the twilight.
