Expressionism, painting acrylic on canvas. I have chosen to revisit the works of great Masters, and not just any of them : Sandro Botticelli, Gustave Moreau, Paul Gauguin, Gustave Courbet… I wanted to represent bodies of women alive, present, carnal... that could represent all women, from ancestral to modern, from androgynous to pulpy. They radiate an accepted femininity, tranquil, a great presence without struggle : "I am this woman... I live, I am alive... I accept myself as I am..." The title of my exhibition "The Untouchables" came to me as these accomplished, "perfect", art works seem to me just that : untouchable. And also, with my tattoos, I wanted to softly touch these female bodies, to create a "me-skin", tender, powerful, voluptuous... Woman has been around since the beginning of times too... With these tattoos, I wanted to remind that women have been tattooed for political reasons, painful... sometimes announcing death : transforming these tattoos into lace, into small dots as an act of reparation. I have chosen to delete the coloured backgrounds, inspired by the black and white cartoons by Hugo Pratt, to leave all the visual space to the woman. She is no longer an accessory... or a mere object, of desire of course... but an object. I wanted to brake the boundaries : these white skinned women are painted with a black skin, reminding us of the near planetary condition of women as a sort of caste of "untouchables".

I like to use a bright palette with strong, cheerful colors, with a subtle play between opacity / transparency, material effects with a knife, figurative and abstract. The homage to Monet allows me to share my personal universe, mixed with influences of artists that I particularly like: B. Morisot, E Manet, V. Van Gogh, P. Gauguin et contemporains N. de Staël, JP Riopelle, Joan Mitchell, P. Soulages, G. Richter ...
