About The Artwork
I was inspired to paint this creek bed because it was so lovely! This is in the Big Horn Mountains between Sheridan and Story, Wyoming. The creek bed lives in a deep leafy crevice between two hills. When the viewer looks at this piece, I hope they sense the wild beauty of Wyoming, the clarity and coolness of the water on a hot summer day, and the topography of the landscape. I chose to paint this in oil because oil is by far my favorite medium, fluid and thick and easy to make a story. I love Wyoming landscapes, especially in the Big Horns!
