Explanation: This painting is actually showing some human figures trying to climb on a rope towards the sky. The blue color on the top represents the sky. These figures are supposed to be humans who climb their way to the sky metaphorically in the meaning that they try to get better and better .There is no limit in self improvement and knowledge and they say sky is the limit. When you try to reach your sky, and become someone better (whatever that might mean to you) you should be prepared for a hard fight. You will have to go through difficult times, reach your limits and fight with the demons of your thoughts and fears. These black figures of the painting are climbing towards the sky but before they get there they are supposed to go through a blood storm (which is the red part of the painting and represents the difficulties that our mind and body will go through during the initial stage of this effort) and then they will face a big monster (painted with black color in the yellow part, representing the second stage which has to do with facing the demons of your mind and getting over your fears once and for all). When you try to reach your sky and become a better person for you and for the others to be sure you can’t bribe the way, you have to do it on your own, go through ‘’suffering’’ to feel the profit of such a great prize. Few words: There are two ways to live your life. One is to surrender, lay back, relax, do the necessary, don’t try hard and just let life bring things to you. The other way is to grab the rope and start climbing. Trying to reach your sky. But before you do that, be sure it’s not going to be easy. First you’ll go through blood storms and then you’ll face your monsters before you get there. They say sky is the limit, so I guess you have to reach your limits to reach your sky. There is no other way and there never was. Technical specifications: Dimensions: 214cm x 70cm Year of creation: 2017 Medium: plastic and acrylic colors on canvas. ARTIST STATEMENT: When I begin a new work of art, I am at peace. My ideas are not so much premeditated but rather led within each moment. I will think on a subject that is important to me for some time but it is within the moment of creation that the idea truly unfolds into something bigger. As a commentary on critical social issues, my work is intended to invoke conversation and a deeper exploration of their very existence and their ongoing effects on the world around us. These topics may include mental health, warfare, food & health, immigration, drug addiction or environmental destruction. I may also reflect on topics such as love, music and the struggles of life and transitions. My work examines the intricate details of each issue and the cyclical, hypocritical nature of our society at large. Each piece is very specific and has an expanded meaning and a deeper message. Every detail you see adds to that overall message. My belief is that you can like something that looks beautiful but you can only love something that means something deeper to you and emotionally touches you. It is at this moment when the artist and the viewer can walk through the same thought patterns. When I am deciding on a piece and the materials to use, it is serendipitous and is connected only to the moment of creation. I believe that each technique and each material has a right place and a right time and each one becomes the bridge that allows me to express my thoughts in a unique and creative way.
