About The Artwork

The beach (Yuhigahama, Japan, N35.66290265885205, E134.96515580578466) is famous for its beautiful sunsets, so I went out in high spirits, but unfortunately it was cloudy that day. It was the condition just before the typhoon. It becomes a masterpiece that I wrote because I thought it was interesting in its own right. However, no matter who I showed it to, I was told that I would be curious as to why I drew this sky. Whatever the scenery, whatever the sky, beautiful things are beautiful. This painting is painted with oil colors on canvas. After allowing it to dry thoroughly, a varnish was applied to protect the surface. It can be displayed as is, framed on its own, but if possible, placing it in a frame with an acrylic panel and displaying it in a location away from strong ultraviolet light will minimize color fading.

I was born in Kagawa prefecture, Japan in 1964 and have been drawing pictures based in Fukuyama and Himeji since 2010. In Japan, there is a well-established field of "Nihonga," which involves painting on folding screens and fusuma, where animals and flowers in nature are carefully observed and drawn in detail. Nihonga places emphasis on effective composition that arranges simplified representations. As typified by manga, Nihonga often uses two-dimensional expressions rather than three-dimensional. Being Japanese, I feel that this style of expression tends to emerge even when I use painting methods that have been developed in countries other than Japan, such as oil painting, pastels, and watercolors. However, I prefer Impressionist paintings to Japanese paintings. While leveraging my characteristics as a Japanese artist, I use Western painting techniques to create works that aim to express the diverse beauty of nature. My style is predominantly realistic, and I strive to capture the essence and beauty of nature in my work. In addition to oil painting, I also enjoy creating pastel and watercolor pieces. I find that each medium allows me to express different emotions and create unique textures. My love for art began at a young age, and I've since honed my skills through various art classes and workshops. I'm constantly inspired by the natural world around me and enjoy spending time outdoors to gather inspiration for my next piece. Thank you for visiting my art page, and I hope my paintings bring a sense of joy and peace to your life.
