Zero Gravity Painting

My first art experiences: Dali's deceiving double images, a shimmering kaleidoscopic Bridget Riley, the vivid cartoon reality of Warhol, Lichtenstein & Hockney and the soaring symmetry and repetition of New York's skyline. All the pictures in my head were born then and they have been trying to get out ever since. I paint to bring geometric shapes on a flat surface to life, to create a 3D depth and space using just line and shade. I paint on wood panels for the smoothness of the surface and I use acrylic paints for their pure, rich, uniform colour.
