Zora Painting

Zora is the Serbian name for the goddess of the dawn, better known as Eos from classical Greek mythology. Every day at dawn she opens the gates of heaven so that the Sun can come to Earth and illuminate the darkness. Zora is time in-between, when the old is passing away and the new is just being born and taking shape. Here, intensity is mixed with gentleness, masculinity with femininity, strength with weakness, heaven with earth. Rebirth and hope, connection with one's own power, a sense of belonging and unity with the universe - these are Zora's gifts. Since my friend initially ordered the painting, parameters such as dimensions, substrate and type of paints were determined by her. Content selection remained open, with one exception. The painting was supposed to depict a blue bird... Discussing the painting together in the context of its intuitive creation allowed me to give it a form referring to my friend's personal story. The painting process coincided with her internal emotional healing process. Now she is ready to let it go. It is an extraordinary work, co-created at every stage by helpful, friendly spirits and souls. The painting is technically well made, on a solid loom, varnished and framed with wooden slats. It is ready go to the Serbian capital, Belgrade, to obtain a special stamp allowing it to officially leave the country and go to its new home.
