This painting is a depiction of actress Anita Louise as Titania, Queen of the Fairies, in the 1935 film version of Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream. The words were my own personal misreading of a passage in the novel Infinite Jest by David Foster Wallace, “How can you be sure it’s you that’s doing the screaming.. and not the spider?” 作品呈现的是演员安妮塔·路易丝在1935年改编自莎士比亚的《仲夏夜之梦》的电影中扮演的女王泰妮娅。 关于作品名字是我个人误读了大卫·福斯特·华莱士的小说《无限的玩笑》中的一段， “你怎么能确定是你在尖叫…而不是蜘蛛呢?”
