About The Artwork

"Inward green" pays tribute to the ephemeral, to the transient, to the passage of time that transforms the visible world. Light allows us to observe different aspects of reality by giving them emphasis or by hiding them depending on the luminous intensity. It is a multiple work: it depends on the surrounding light. It acquires distinct images according to the intensity of light on the outside, and the interior light is always present as the breathing or the beat of the heart. "The work that Isabel Barbas has developed in recent years operates within a system of perceptions. Durero and Alberti, breaking the compact polyhedron of the medieval world, were the first to realize that things had permanent properties and accidental properties. Properties that depended on the transformations of light or places. From that moment the world began to be made, not only by symbols, but also of perceptions. The art works that occupy the space, lead us to travel through this world of perceptions. A world made of shadows and light, where the work of art is no longer one; Are many. A world made up of doubles who claim their own autonomy as they abandon the original body and give way to fragmented and indefinite objects that depend on the rhythm of light to gain meaning. Works of art that resist the immediacy of words and pay homage to the mysterious and unexpected life...The work that Isabel Barbas has developed in recent years operates within a system of perceptions.
