About The Artwork

In the Arena is the incarnation of human presence in comparison with its predatory nature, as is life itself. This work is an expression of venturing into the potentialities of man, anatomy contracted with the daily intentions of existence. Elena Mutinelli with this picture digs, enters the limbs, seizes the vitality of the anatomy and the desire to live, highlights the posture and the psychological aspect of the human being. It has recently been exposed in the retrospective of Elena Mutinelli at the Civic Museums in Monza, Italy.
