About The Artwork
On my daily walk around the lake I saw this turtle with dragonflies around him, I photographed him and added some color. I tried to set the feeling of the day with color. The brightness of the day, the curiosity of the dragonfly and the danger the jaws the turtle could impose. The irony of the situation was inspirational. The dragonfly landing on the back was almost taunting the turtle, or was it friendship? Just made me think and when an subject does that, I have to paint it.
