This canvas is based on a selfie pose of me which ended up to be a basketball gesture. the bright blue is contrasted by the reddish skintone and the orange ball leaving the image. This painting was started on the floor at a arts workshop and finished later in my studio.

Bernd Vonau was born in 1968 in Germany. Drawing was a passion from early childhood and led to the desire to become a graphic designer. Aged 17 Bernd Vonau entered a private design school, where he was selected as one of the first to earn a scholarship. Early works include grafitti for clients in germany. In 1999 "ateliervonau" was beginning to work for international clients in all creative areas. Later in his career approaching photography, he was able to sell his conceptional images to Canon Canada, Sueddeutsche Zeitung, Geo Magazine and others. From 2013 Bernd Vonau got into painting and now has a strong focus on the freedom of canvas work.
