About The Artwork

The painting express the old age phase of our life. In this moment it is said that you become wiser you reevaluate your comportament, atitudine, your words, your life. You begin to "measure" it, to see different, to see more of what you should have had and less of what you shouldn't have, you put into balance your life, memories, deeds, decisions, regrets, choices etc. You begin to balance your own passed, present and future time, symbolized in the work by the scale. Instead of the shadow of the scale, it's drawn the roman numeral XII,(12),which is a number with many meanings and symbols. It can either open a door to another world such as everything changes, takes another shape, time loses it's temporality/ dimensions when it's XII o'clock , or either when the clock strikes 00:00 o'clock everything turns back to normal, everything turns back into the real appearance. XII is the border between real and unreal, imaginary and reality, and time is both real and unreal. One second can seem to be forever, and forever can seem a second...sometimes. :) And as he (the man's portrait) "measures" his life/time, his personal time the rest of the time, the world's time, around/ in front/ behind him, continues to pass the same. It continues to move, to develop in it's own way, continues to go further. The world's time it's symbolized by the oblique lines, the vertical lines, and by the building scaffolds, crane arms and stairs.

I have been breathing for some years… In this time I “ve done a few things. I’ve learned to see, to walk, to eat, to talk, to listen, to mix them up, and eventually to think. I’ve been told that I have no other way. But the most achieving thing I’ve learned was to draw…and that was the beginning to all-cause thought me the most important thing, to live. I live through my projects. I offer a part of myself in each, regardless of whether it is a film project, an animation, or a facade design for the identity of a building distributed over areas of hundreds of square meters (500m2 located in Otopeni, Bucharest), a visual identity, a mural painting, graphics, illustrations, or optical illusions and 3D anamorphosis, or an urban installation of visual communication in public spaces, etc., every work that I did and I will do, is to give to people, to share emotions, to give states of minds, to provide multiple utilities for visual communication, to give unexpected visions, to provide new ways to communicate and receive information, to give and carry them in stories, to try to make them see sounds and hear colors. Any field, direction, expression of art is a sensory input for people. And working with the senses and for the human senses and emotions, I think is one of the most honorable and amazing things a person could live for. What else does it motivate’s me? Growing in a family of artists, in which the house became as one with a workshop was and still is the lesson of my life, and I’m really proud of that. Believe me, it was quite challenging to get to my room, or anywhere in the house, because I had to make my way through the paintings, having canvas even in the restroom. And this increased my ambition, confidence, my beliefs. The freedom that I embraced gave me that chance to create my own world, believe in it and evolve it continuously. Therefore, I can say that as long as humans, pencils, and sounds will exist, I will never stop creating, because this is my only world in which I can live in. What do I do most of the time? I'm a creative/ art director, multimedia designer, visual conceptual artist, strategic marketing consultant (and musician sometimes). I work independently, collaborate, and offer innovative visual communication solutions, offering consulting and implementation, in various fields that involve various visual projects and applications.
