ABOUT THE ARTWORK
In this series I explore pure abstraction by reducing the surface of the painting to normally horizontal stripes or bands. Through gesture, color and non-color I explore light, shadow, negative space, positive space, emptiness, fullness, reducing the formal features variables to a very simple approach where I try to get maximum expression and emotion. In this series despite the abstraction, the notion of the landscape, the horizon line, the earth and the sky, the light of the sky and the earth, the interior light, the interior landscape, the interior color is present.

My painting is expressionist, symbolic, emotional and cathartic, it has an intuitive and experimental spirit. I always have the obsession to transmit emotion with my painting.
