Born at Dolnja Briga on March 19th, 1954, Jože Marinč graduated from secondary School of Design in Ljubljana in 1973, continued his studies at the Faculty of Pedagogy, followed by Academy of Visual Arts in Ljubljana. After graduation in 1979 he attended post graduate master-class of Prof. Janez Bernik between 1979 and 1981. He was a resident at the Cite Internationale des Arts in Paris in 1992 and 2002 as well as in Millstatt, Austria in 1995. He is a member of the Slovenian Artists’ Association and Society of Artists of Lower Carniola. He lives and works in Kostanjevica na Krki.
