About The Artwork

It's a little quick meditation on the sad parts of life. A symbol of them. Moments of vicissitude that challenge us to meditate on the meanings of life and overcome ourselves. I chose this symbol for its harshness. I played with it all over the surface of the painting, interacting with it visually and imaginatively. In this way, from its strong sense of prohibition, aggressive perimeter, I have also glimpsed poetic meanings that tame this symbol, like similarity with some flowering branches of metal. At this point, the pain that this symbol can cite can take the form of accepting this suffering. Hostility disappears and remains only a resigned perception that embellishes anything that can offer life. It's a work painted on a soft material. It's not framed and will be sent rolled into a tube. The recommendation for framing would be a heavy, massive frame in dark tones. Edit

I am an artist who deals with the theme of emotions in achromatic or monochrome images, in styles such as abstract expressionism, Impressionism, realism, minimalism and others. The human figure, realistic or transformed, the objects of nature or those invented, all have symbolic value for these states. The lack of color requires a radical asceticism, an austere simplicity in an exuberant sensory world. A reduction in noise, waste of color and easy anecdotes, which invite to meditation and re-examination of the world around us. The sublimation of subtones and valuing insignificant details and undesirable objects, but which are linked to the forgotten essential, all creates a world upside down, that questions. Pointing to values such as compassion and empathy which pay attention to the misery of the world, its sadness, its loneliness, the dumbing of the voice, the lack of freedom and so on.
