ABOUT THE ARTWORK

I look for my subjects in parisian parks, generally I'm inspired by people who are alone, being paralelly in the visible reality and their interior world. I'm not a big fan of our technological era, so I'm attracted by "retro" subjects. Here I liked this boy with his very old-style book, the red scarf full of different codes for me, who reminded me of Truffault's fètiche actor, Jean-Pierre Léaud. Born in July 22, 1967. Lives and works in Paris. Gabor Gozon likes to dig in into every day reality to see what's on the other side. The scenes he chooses to paint possess the sort of banality that invariably hides something. Color, light, shade, framing, drawing, the subjects' often neutral expression, style, all is put to the service of the investigation of the visible.
