About The Artwork

As the only white piece of the Gold and Copper Collection was sold recently, I started working on a new all-white painting. Simultaneously I was doing some research at the Rijksmueum Amsterdam, on Delft Blue for another collection (of portraits) I'm working on. I got so inspired by the 18th Century pieces, that I decided to hand-paint Delft Blue patterns into my all-white work. As in all of the pieces of this collection, I used brush and palet knife and 23.75K gold. Although framing is not needed in any of the Gold and Copper Collection pieces, and all of them are ready to hang, # 58 could benefit greatly from a golden frame.

Jacqueline Mac Mootry-Everaert is a Dutch artist who lived and worked in Brazil, the Caribbean and The Netherlands. She travelled around the world for 15 years, finding inspiration on all (but one) continents. She has exibited in London, New york, Paris, Amsterdam, Düsseldorf and other major cities. Her work is held in private collections around the globe. Dynamic colors, rich depth and atmosphere through layers and textures are the artist's trademark. Jacqueline received a 3-year classical education in 17th Century techniques and realistic oil painting in The Netherlands, and more recently in figure/nude drawing at the Klassieke Academie Groningen, also in The Netherlands. Since 2016 she found her passion in Abstract Expressionism, in an effort to counterbalance the negativity that seemed to flood the world (the aftermath of terrorism, hybrid warfare, covid, polarisation, racism, political repression) and contributing in a ever so small way, to a more positve, beautiful reality through the power of bold and vivid color. You may contact Jacqueline at www.macmootry-everaert.com directly or via Instagram jacquelinemacmootryeveraert to discuss any of her works or to comment on her work.
