Camouflage Painting

Lisbon, 1984 "Looking at reality and attempting to mimic came to me at a very young age. At 2 years old I was already scribbling my grandma's drawers and forming the first glimpse of human features in drawing - hands, legs, eyes and facial expression...skills that developmentally get to us in a later stage. I knew I was inclined to create and my family was always supportive of me pursuing what they saw as a gift. Although creating always made part of my growth, I only experienced the technique of oil painting when completing my degree in Fine Arts. I specialised in Art teaching and have since been working within the education field; oil painting, however, continued to be a constant in my "battle" against reality."
