Referencing a 1805 map of Highbury Fields and the surrounding area, 'Fields was painted in water miscible oil on food recycling bag material. St Saviour's was built in the 1860s, and before then the land was mostly fields used for dairy farming. In the 1850s a plan to establish a large park failed and the land was sold for building plots for housing. Installed outside St Saviour's Church (home of Florence Trust) for about 2 weeks and exposed to the elements, 'Fields' became damaged with large holes appearing through which more of the landscape could be seen. Eventually the remains of the piece were brought inside and displayed in the church in front of one of the large windows.
