About The Artwork
This is Bribie Island off the coast of Southeast Queensland in Australia. One of our famous Australian Painters Ian Fairweather lived a rather reclusive life on this idyllic Island. His work was rather Chaotic, and although my work is nothing like his, I find myself drawn to the chaos of the dead twisted branches that must have inspired his work. I however loved the restful calm of the blue and turquoise ocean beyond.
