I used to have a studio near there and I could smell the grain for the chicken feed back when Petaluma was still the chicken capital of the world. It was a pleasant sunny day when I painted this and I hope the viewer feels the warmth and the nostalgia. The oil on canvas is museum wrapped with the edges painted black so it is ready to hang.
