This is where Denmark ends. Grenen is the name of this place at the most northern part of this wonderful country. Here the North and the Baltic Sea meet, so you can stand with your feet in two seas at the same time. This area of the sea is called “Skagerrak” which is often very stormy and dangerous. But sometimes there is almost no wind and absolutely quietness, maybe on a clear winter day or on the longest day of the year in summer, called Skt. Hans evening, as the painting (acryl on canvas 80/120 cm) shows.

Germany
I am a German painter, living and working in northern Germany near the Danish border. As materials I use oil, acrylic and watercolours on canvas or art paper. The northern land- and seascapes are my favourite topics and with my paitings I try to express what you can experience in this special region and climate.
