About The Artwork
Sutton is one of the most beautiful town's in Quebec's Estrie region. I had the privilege of living there for over ten years. Surrounded by hills and scenic vistas, Sutton and its environment remain a powerful draw for skiers, backpackers, snowshoers and other outdoor enthusiasts. This particular scene is a view to what was my home at the time, from the premises of a religious sanctuary across the street. It was painted from memory.
