About The Artwork
I have been spending a lot of time in Venice Beach recently which is what inspired the painting. Venice has such a rich history and has lived some golden moments throughout the past, and I believe now is one of those moments. Its a vibrant and interesting city on the water, which now houses some of the most successful businesses in the world, as well as plays host to a large homeless population. The city has changed drastically but its a symbol of the times and what gentrification is capable of. It really represents what Venice beach is attempting to be regardless of its past and current issues.
