The series called 'bauhaus suite' contains works whose photographic origins were taken in buildings designed by Bauhaus architects & successors. Here you find pictures from the Bauhaus Museum Weimar as well as from the fire extinguisher plant in Apolda, the TownHouse Krefeld, the administrative buildings of VERSEIDAG, the first residential building designed in the so-called 'typical' Bauhaus style by Walter Gropius in Jena, Haus Auerbach. Images of some no less famous architecture, such as that of Mies van der Rohe in Krefeld, were also realized. Architects influenced by the Bauhaus, such as Bruno Paul and Egon Eiermann, are also part of this suite. Many other architects and later famous designers have located their genes in the Bauhaus's thinking - and O+K also do not free themselves from it, even if in the first years of their collaboration they were not even aware of this. And even today, free creative work and thinking is more important to them than establishing references to the Bauhaus. Therefore, they see themselves as simultaneously independent and yet influenced by it, without any concern of being seen as copyists. The nature of their joint work as well as the consistency in execution and further development are probably unique worldwide and show their very personal path along the Bauhaus ideas to new forms of temporary photographic arts. Important to them is not only the achievement of creative excellence, but also the implementation in technical precision. So all their works are printed on high-quality museum cardboard or photo paper with pigment inks. Formats up to 50x60 cm are printed by the artists - it doesn't get more original than this for this type of art and gives the 'small' formats an additional personal touch. Large formats are 'manu'factured' by Labor HSL & Grieger (Heni Group, UK) Signature, numbering and date are on the frontside under the picture. Passepartout and framing as shown are recommanded examples and not part of the delivery.
