About The Artwork

My interest lies in 'crossbreeding' geometry, the human body and emerging technologies. This is an outcome of a work process for a sculpture I originally intended to cast as a solid but visually fluid object in stainless steel. As the project developed I started to mix fluids within fluids, internal acrylic vibrant pours within the larger body of transparent fluids. This is a signed limited edition print on Archival gloss fine art quality paper, capturing the 'frozen moment' of the body in an eternal delicate balancing act, as life itself. I would also like to develop this sculpture into a physical 3D printed sculpture. Your purchase will sponsor that! Thank you.

Yael Brosilovski (b.1973) currently lives and works in Singapore. Having trained as an architect in the UK and after a decade working for world renowned architectural practices of Zaha Hadid (London), David Chipperfield (London) and Kas Oosterhius (Rotterdam) on Art Museums and major public building projects, she started working on personal art projects. Driven by an ongoing interest in Architecture as in Art to seek territories still unexplored, in search of the Avant Garde. An interest that followed throughout her creative career so far is the human body and its relationship to space. Working with and looking into digital technologies, the possibilities they offer and the effects they have on tomorrow's society is another strong preoccupation throughout her work. With a geometric, often fluid and always tactile visual slant, she seeks to explore new ideas and evoke a familiar / unfamiliar connection and/or repulsion with the viewer/ participant.
