This piece is from a series of work I am currently putting together which explores the life of my muse. A Yoruba artist from Abeokuta, Nigeria. His Yoruba name is Àrà which in English means "wonder" This body of works explores the current life and idiosyncrasies of the muse. This particular piece unveils my muse in a market in Ibadan, Oyo state. He is seen caught in between two local wooden stalls in a simple and reflective pose. The photo captures the subtle elegance of the moment, whereas, this is just a normal day for Mr Àrà the "wonder"

I go by the name Janet Adegoke. I am an emerging female artist based in Nigeria. I work with acrylic and wool on canvas. My pieces address societal issues affecting women. I raise awareness on injustice and unhealthy socio-cultural practices against them. The themes of my discourse are sensitive, so I lay them bare for engagement. I am also a budding documentary photographer capturing sights and sounds around me that resonate with my creative spirit.
