This photographic series shows carefully selected work, made during the past 4 years. My goal was to capture as much movement en breaking of light in order to produce an extraordinary abstract image of someting that is very common and in origin recognizable. Let me explain, the macrophotography that you see here is not staged, not made in the studio, but a study of "things around us" that are liable to break so much light that a new world appears. No editing has taken place and no cutting. You see the pure picture as it was taken. In this series called "Translucent Depts of nature" I selected 10 images that have clear things in common. They have no figurative (say: recognizable) elements. The dynamic of the picture is sought for They have very distinct color-patterns / compositions The uv-ink that is sublimated into ( yes not ON but into ) the aluminum gives a radiating glow and deepness to the image. It is a gloss finish, due to the heat that is used for the pigments to sublimate with the aluminum. I am very proud to finally present these works. Hope you will fall in love with them ; )
