In my clan, as a teenager, we would regularly visit our elders, and they would warmly offer us sweet afternoon snacks or simple evening meals without any airs of affluence, but with genuine warmth and a wink. New York, however, is not such a place. So, here she stands, visible to me today. Admittedly, I may be projecting a bit of "Eleanor Rigby" onto this scene, but let's not digress. I wasn't consciously aware that I was attempting to capture as much beauty and warmth as possible in this photograph. Yet, as I examine it now, there's an ethereal quality that emerges.
