About The Artwork

Alice, West Coast II. I met Alice, a Portuguese beauty who was visiting Cape Town that summer of 2015. We took a drive up the West Coast of South Africa to one of my favourite beaches, one along a tropical blue lagoon. She had the aura of a film star from days gone by, and I loved the way during the shoot she could swing from fiery to placid in moments. It was rare that year that I shot any film in colour that year, but this was one of the few shot on Portra 400. The artwork comes to you in a tube as a Giclée pigment print on Hahnemühle Fine Art Baryta 325gsm archival paper. It a heavy weight fine art paper with a subtle gloss, ideal for prints with deep blacks and colour photographs that are rich and high in contrast. Limited Edition of 10 + 2 AP Unframed Image size is 100cm x 65.7cm Print size is 110cm x 75.cm as it includes a white border of 5cm on each side for easy framing. The print comes with a signed certificate of authenticity, and a label signed by artist with name of artist, piece and edition number, which can be affixed to the back when framed. Ships in a dent-resistant tube. Rolled works can easily be restretched. Print can be requested in a different size and framing is optional, contact curator@saatchiart.com to enquire about the additional costs.
