On May 29, 2019, when I was diagnosed with cancer, a strange sadness overcame me. On June 21, the longest day after a minor surgery on my birthday on June 14, I underwent a 12-hour surgery connected to machines that I have never experienced. Afterwards, I realized that I had to change my perspective on life, my next life had to be more valuable. I wanted to capture hope instead of sadness in the photos I took. I preferred to be more in nature, I tried very hard to remove negative thoughts, people who didn't love me, everything that didn't give me happiness from my life. It's been four years today, have I succeeded? I still don't know, because I see that I still feel that bad things are waiting for me around the corner, behind a door. There is a depth to black and white photographs. The beach, the boat, the seagulls and the endless sky and ocean behind give me that sense of depth. This may be a reflection of our depth of thought. Close your eyes and imagine. I would like to thank you, the art lovers who add value to my photographs.

36 years ago I started photography and worked hard to learn the basics. Years passed and everything changed very fast. With black and white, dia positive films and then digital photography, I added new images to the development of my vision. I have been living in New York for 23 years. Life looks different from every window, you close one and open another. You have to know where and how to look. At first, photography in general, without discriminating between subjects, increased my sense of freedom. I could see the detail of the world from a small frame. Exciting! I opened 99+ONE exhibitions to raise awareness about violence against women, consisting of 99 women's profiles. I started with an outdoor exhibition in an iconic park in New York, Mudanya/Turkey, Amsterdam/Netherlands, Mercy University/New York and published a book. I try to find the beauty in everyone I photograph and let the truth in them come to light. I would like to thank everyone I photograph and everyone who feels free in front of my camera. I want to thank you endlessly for adding value to my photographs. Love and Regards,
