Angautekit - The Greenland Collection Photograph - Limited Edition of 10

‘Angautekit’ means Horizon in Kalaallisut, the major Greenlandic language. On the last day at sea on our amazing odyssey in Arctic Ocean we entered the ice field in Ilulissat. Around us were the most beautiful icebergs, not long at sea after birthing from their glacier mothership. This was appeared particularly intriguing and so she proved to be once we took the camera overhead. As far as the eye could see, icebergs small and large. An extraordinary way to end this adventure This was taken in 2019, sailing up the west coast of Greenland on a very personal photo-expedition like no other. Our boat was an old Herring Logger, around 100 feet long and built over 100 years ago in Holland. Her rigging is as traditional as it gets. The calm, outstanding skipper did all he could to ensure I could get the pictures, which included giving me almost complete freedom with the dinghy. It was one of the most wonderful, exciting, visually extraordinary shoots I have ever been on.
