Anthropocene 1 - Limited Edition 1 of 75 Photograph

My work invokes the use of objects as a means to represent contemporary issues by noting the vast, yet largely unnoticed, interventions we have upon our environment. ‘Anthropocene’ is described to be the current epoch, in which we now live, interpreted to define the geological period in which human activity has been the dominant force and influence on both the climate and the planet. We have triggered an imbalance in the delicate synthesis of nature, and now we must to be mindful of our impact upon the world if we are to succeed in delivering a habitable planet for future generations. Still life as a genre allows us to consider the overlooked and facilitate a debate on our, until more recently, scarcely-noticed and unremarked exploitation of our world.
