At the top of the Arc de Triumph in Paris I was shooting night shots and caught this mesmerizing image of the stairwell coming down. The strong depth of field showed the detail in the steps and the circular motion leading you deeper into the image. All points of traffic seem to converge on this monumental structure and breathes of Paris's deep and storied history. The worn steps speak of the unimaginable amount traffic that led patrons to this iconic image in the Paris skyline.

Printed using archival inks and Moab Entrada Bright Rag Fine Art Paper
Print will be signed and numbered on the back with an accompanying Letter of Authenticity

Brandon LeValley (1954) is a photographic artist from the United States. In 1976 he graduated from Washington State University where his Bachelor’s Degree included Art studies. He’s always had a passion for photography. That desire was fueled early in life when he was still shooting film and utilizing a darkroom to process images. Holding a final print offered a world of experience seeing how the light on a subject materialized. Years later he realized the digital camera had revolutionized processing. Today, he converts most images to black and white and often shoots botanicals for their dramatic lines and shape. He’s also drawn to architecture and landscapes. Living near Joshua Tree National Park provides many dramatic configurations that come from his explorations. While his journey in photography has evolved, it’s often ignited by striking lighting. He’s fascinated by the abstract and uses every tool to achieve a finished composition. A unique image, he believes, comes about by a disciplined and oftentimes exhaustive approach. Knowing the payoff can be rewarding, that commitment to detail ultimately renders a more compelling work.
