Usually we get to a train station, we hurry, we are between one point in the transition to another point. But very rarely do we also look around and enjoy the special architecture. At the Ground Zero station in New York I sat for a long time, looked around and was simply amazed at the beauty of the arches above me, at the lines leading me in the spatial field of view. And the people in total were guest critics for a instantinuse time in that wholeness of place.

The interpretation of the term "Wholeness" in the vocabulary of the artist Amir Chodorov, is linked to a different and additional aspect of his artistic creation. He is looking for the misunderstood and the unknown and in spite of the photographed elements which are known and familiar to us, the artist raises questions whether the photographed location is indeed familiar to us. Chodorov is true to himself as an artist and trusts the unique path he has taken. He uses his camera as extension to his brain, on his way to achieve originality and uniqueness. “A man paints with his brains, not with his hands.”, Michelangelo, Amir went with himself deep inside the renaissance artist and methods that they used, especially the “Fresco” technique that enable them to create artworks like in The Sistine Chapel ceiling In Rome. It’s took him almost 40 years to create his own Fresco technic that enable him to create unusual Artworks that build up from 100-800 pics. Amir is searching in his travels around the world for the incomprehensible and the unknown within the known and the familiar. His photographs invoke in the observer astonishment mixed with optimism, a limitless identification with him. In his unique working method Amir creates a narrative by means of exact frames, illuminated and special, and in fact just as creators of cartoons, he achieves three-dimensional wholeness. The American author J. D. Salinger claims that for an artist the only thing that mattersis to create a kind of wholeness as he sees it and that is what really matters. In Amir's photographs there is such completeness, a new and a unique one. Chodorov brings us the contemporary influence of the digital world which is around us and his creations are in fact woven from pixels which our eyes never tire seeing. Life is made up of milestones, pieces of a puzzle which compliment one another. Amir's puzzle consecrates history but at the same time he creates a new and fresh contemporary reality. His artwork is distinguished by the geometric and sometimes abstract character which is born from a certain emotional situation or an imaginary event which the artist decided to embellish with various layers of impressive coloring. His artwork emphasizes the victory of the spirit, inspiration and beams of light he found within himself.
